The Palestine International Business Forum (PIBF) is a project founded to promote economic development in Palestine, focusing on the potential of the private sector. The origins of the project go back to the Oslo peace talks. As a platform for dialogue, PIBF bring together Palestinian, Israeli, and European partners. The platform is managed by the International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR). It is founded on the vision of a peaceful and prosperous Middle East, accompanied by the mission:
‘to strengthen the Palestinian private sector to be able to propel economic development
that will benefit the Palestinian society as a basis for stability and prosperity towards a future two-state solution.’
This remains the overarching mission of the cooperation between the engaged stakeholders.
